Cheryl Jane MacDonald/Royer, 74, of Hot Springs Village, Arkansas, died March 7, 2019.
Cheryl was born in Kentville, Nova Scotia, Jan. 29, 1945. Cheryl was proud of her Nova Scotia roots.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Mildred and Allister MacDonald.
Cheryl was a kind, thoughtful wife and friend.
Cheryl is survived by her husband, Ralph Royer of Hot Springs Village; sister, Anne Macht of Surrey, British Columbia; nephew, Joel; niece, Emily; both of Yukon; niece, Claire, of Munich, Germany; Ralph’s daughters, Diana Lynn Holt, of Memphis; son, Ralph Kenneth Royer, of Houston, Texas; granddaughter, Devin Royer; grandson, Clay Aitken and family, of Memphis.
Cheryl and Ralph lived in Memphis, Tennessee, and in Arizona, before moving to Hot Springs Village.
Cheryl enjoyed a rewarding 40-year career as a certified travel consultant and was dedicated to helping her clients enjoy the best-possible travel experience in countries a varied as Russia, China, all over Europe, and many places in South America.
She was an avid golfer, forming many lifelong friendships through the sport, and was an active member of the Village Genealogical Society. No service by request, but friends may make donations to the American Cancer Society in Cheryl’s name.
